Andrea Moreno Orts invites us to rediscover the pottery tradition linked to water with her vessel for collective drinking.
SHOW MORE INFO
Andrea Moreno Orts, has crafted a unique vessel with a clear purpose: to facilitate stylish and functional collective water consumption. Inspired by the longstanding tradition of pottery associated with water, the piece features six hooks and six cups designed for transporting, storing, and serving water in a communal setting. This design not only revives the essence of bygone eras, where vessels and pitchers symbolized independence and home, but also celebrates a new era of communal living around this vital element. The chosen material, CH-3 chamotte refractory stoneware, has been meticulously hand-modelled and fired at high temperatures to ensure durability and resilience. A low-temperature glossy transparent glaze enhances the natural beauty of the material while making it practical and easy to maintain. Every detail, from the varied textures to the careful selection of materials, reflects Andrea’s commitment to quality craftsmanship and functionality in contemporary furniture design.
