Isabel Alonso is a Spanish designer and LAHP-funded PhD candidate at the Royal College of Art in London. She views design as a collaborative, research-based and experimental activity. For her, design is a medium to explore cultural aspects and ecological concerns, among other topics. Narrative, material honesty and sensitive composition characterise Isabel's work.
Isabel graduated with an MA in Design Products from the Royal College of Art in 2020, supported by a scholarship from the "la Caixa" Foundation. Previously, she studied Industrial Design Engineering and earned a Master's Degree in Graphic Arts, both at the Polytechnic University of Valencia, Spain. Isabel received the Spanish National Award for Academic Excellence and was awarded in the International Design Awards. She has carried out her professional activity in Spain, Sweden and the UK.
